Ethics and Health

1) Ethics

The contemporary concept of "ethics" contains the rational, scientific, public will and other attributes of western culture, while the concept of "morality" contains more oriental cultural sentiments, humanities, personal accomplishment and other colors. Since the "introduction of western learning", the concepts of "ethics" and "morality" in China and the West have been colliding, competing and merging. At present, the boundaries and categories between them are increasingly clear, that is, "ethics" is a primary concept in ethics, while "morality" is a secondary concept under the concept of "ethics". The two cannot replace each other. They have their own concept categories and use areas.

2) Health Ethics

Health ethics is an ethical study on health, which aims to study all ethical problems related to health and the ethical principles and norms that should be followed to solve these problems. Health belongs to the ethical field because it is not only related to the explanation of the emergence of diseases in society, but also related to the improvement of this situation. In addition to the tool purpose, health also involves a holistic goal, which expresses the commitment of all people to unite in the face of death and disease.

3) Social relations

The general term for the relationship between people in society. Marx pointed out that human nature is the sum of all social relations. This means that social relations originate from people, because with human beings, there are various complex relationships between people, which are collectively referred to as social relations.

From the perspective of both sides of the relationship, social relationship includes the relationship between individuals, between individuals and groups, and between individuals and countries; Generally, it also includes the relationship between groups and between groups and between groups and countries. The scope of groups here ranges from non-governmental organizations to national political parties. In essence, the state here is the society of one territory, that is, the relationship between individuals and the state is the relationship between individuals and society, and the relationship between individuals and the world is the relationship between individuals and the whole society.

From the perspective of the field of relations, social relations involve many aspects, including economic relations, political relations and legal relations. Economic relations are relations of production. In addition, religion and military affairs are also important areas of social relations.

4) State of Etiquette

The ancient Chinese nation has a long history. In the long history of 5000 years, it has created a splendid culture, formed noble moral standards, complete etiquette norms and excellent traditional virtues, and is known as the "ancient civilization, a country of etiquette". This can be concluded from the Book of Rites. The essence of the entire East and Southeast Asian culture is the inheritance of the Chinese civilization. China has a 5000 year history of civilization, known as the "Land of Etiquette", and the Chinese people are also famous for their courteous style. Etiquette civilization, as an important part of Chinese traditional culture, has a wide and far-reaching impact on the development of Chinese society and history. Its content is very rich and covers a wide range, almost permeating all aspects of ancient society.

"Li" and "Yi" in ancient China are actually two different concepts. "Rites" are systems, rules and a concept of social consciousness; "Yi" is the specific form of "Li", which is a set of systematic and complete procedures formed according to the provisions and contents of "Li".

In ancient China, etiquette was derived from the patriarchal clan system and hierarchical system in order to meet the needs of the society at that time, so it had the characteristics and limitations of the era when it came into being. Up to now, modern etiquette is very different from ancient etiquette. We must abandon those etiquette norms that serve the exploiting class, and focus on absorbing the traditional civilized etiquette that still has a positive and universal significance today, such as respecting the elderly and respecting the sages, being decent, treating people politely, and being decent, and so on. We must reform and inherit them. This is of modern value for the cultivation of good personal quality, the coordination of harmonious interpersonal relations, the shaping of a civilized social atmosphere, and the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
